Synopsis -
The Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though it’s only a flesh wound, Charlie Brock’s self-inflicted injury sets off a series of chaotic events, causing four couples visiting, as guests to a dinner party, to experience a severe attack of lies, mayhem, comedy and rumours.
A police detective tries to discover the truth of the events through the chaos at the end of the play, ensuring laughter right up until the final curtain.
Rumors is a brilliant, fast-paced comedy/farce written by America’s leading playwright Neil Simon, set in the late 1980s at a large, tastefully appointed Sneden’s Landing townhouse.
Note- this play contains occasional coarse language
